Take Shelter with Aux Abris at Thomas Lavin

This month, Thomas Lavin welcomes the boutique design studio Aux Abris, purveyor of fine wallcoverings with distinctive surfaces that push the boundaries of texture and color to create fresh new designs. Founded by decorator and graphic designer Karen Robert, the company prints on metallic grasscloth wallpaper, silk wallpaper, and Japanese woven wallpaper, as well as other innovative grounds. The singular collection of patterns and murals are often inspired by early twentieth century art movements like the Bauhaus, French Modernism or Art Nouveau. Shown here: the Garden of Eden mural.
