UNEARTHED by John Pomp Debuts at Thomas Lavin

The first wood furniture collection from John Pomp Studios, UNEARTHED explores materiality and the beauty of aging through timeworn materials. UNEARTHED forms a dialogue with negative space and texture through weathered wood grain and sensuous curvature. Seven exclusive wood finishes across three species highlight the material’s natural tactility, warmth, and depth.

Among the new works is the striking dining chair shown here, whose textural, timeworn upholstery envelops a carved, sculptural frame, celebrating the rich natural warmth of eroded wood. Like every Pomp design, it is created from concept to completion by designer, artist, and glassblower John Pomp and his talented team in their own Philadelphia studio.
