Join Markowicz Fine Art for “2nd Thursday–Art After Hours”

Join us on July 13 from 5:00–7:00pm!

This month we will feature artworks by French conceptual mixed media artist Joseph, and French photographer and painter Arno Elias. The engaging nature of Joseph’s work, using text rather than images, propels the audience into a dialogue with the artist. The phrases often challenge social expectations, accepted ideas of normalcy, and sharp reminders of our most human vulnerabilities.

Arno Elias is an artist, musician, and activist, and is best known for his stunning photographs of endangered species and indigenous peoples. He hand embellishes each of his photographs using acrylic paint, gold leaf, and diamond dust to create his final masterpiece. His large-scale artworks do not always translate in photos, so they must be seen in person!
